TRINIDAD COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN FOLLOW-UP (RECAP) SCHEDULED

Trinidad, CO (July 16, 2007) – As part of the Trinidad Community Assessment process which began in the Fall of 2005 and the Community Action Plan process that followed in the Spring of 2006, a representative from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development & International Trade will once again be visiting Trinidad on Thursday, July 26, 2007, to perform the follow-up to last Spring’s Community Action Plan – the RECAP.

The RECAP will be performed by Darlene Scott, Southeast Business Development Representative with the Governor’s Office of Economic Development & International Trade. She will spend time meeting with community leaders to assess how far the Trinidad community has come in following through with the Trinidad Community Action Plan (CAP) developed last Spring. The Community Action Plan was based on prioritizing the recommendations provided in 2005’s Trinidad Community Assessment – Final SWOT Analysis that indicated strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in four areas: Business Development, Community Development, Downtown Development, and Infrastructure Development.

The RECAP event is scheduled from 10am – 12Noon, Thursday, July 26, 2007, at Aultman Hall, 137 Cedar Street in Trinidad.
