Taxation:
Sales Tax: State of Colorado imposes a 2.9% sales tax on purchases within the state. Additionally, the City of Trinidad imposes a 4% sales tax on purchases within corporate limits of the community, resulting in a 6.9% sales tax within Trinidad.
Colorado offers businesses the choice of calculating their state tax liability on the basis of the standard three-factor formula (revenue, property, and payroll) or a two-factor formula (revenue and property), whichever is less. The apportionment can be changed annually. |
